Southend Hospital installs four GM-F520S in refurbished control room
JVC Professional is pleased to announce that Southend Hospital has recently installed four GM-F520S as part of their newly refurbished security system.
Located in Westcliff-on-Sea Essex, Southend
Hospital has upgraded its existing surveillance system to cater for its expanding number of patients and visitors. Southend Hospital’s security overhaul was overseen by David Perry,
Senior Project Manager in the Estates group, who looked into options for the Trust.
“The Trust looked at CCTV in a totally different way to most commercial enterprises, rather than being installed for the prime protection of “Property”, its primary focus was on
the protection of “People”- all patients, visitors and staff throughout the site, the system is there for their safety and well being,” David explains.
The Trust spoke to a number of existing suppliers, partners and conducted independent research on who, within the security industry had recently completed successful large projects
similar to its own requirements. A number of security system providers were asked to arrange visits to existing sites - Check Your Security Ltd, an East Anglia based IP CCTV specialist
offered the Trust a number of sites to visit. Site visits were conducted in conjunction with their IT personnel where they visited and spoke to Facilities and Project managers who had
already conducted successful implementations and upgrades of large systems.
As the hospital is in operation 24/7, 365 days a year there are always people on site whether they are patients, staff or visitors, Southend Hospital needed monitors which could
withstand such a demanding environment, plus provide high-quality images.
The JVC GM-F520S is perfect for professional applications where reliability, robustness and high image quality is imperative. The
industrial professional display is suitable for 24/7 days operation with special high brightness (700 cd²) LCD panel for long term applications.
